Job description

UW Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Perioperative for a nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin.

Job Description & Requirements

90% FTE, 12 hour day/evening shift every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 7:00am - 7:30pm. NO on-call responsibilities but will work a holiday if it falls on the weekend. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will be working at the University Hospital in Madison, WI. 

Additional components of compensation may include: 

  • Shift differentials: $4/hour evening, $10/hour weekender
  • Overtime

  • Communicate and coordinate Operating Room activities to facilitate efficiency in the surgical case progression and turnover between cases.

Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
Work Experience
  • 6 months of recent independent PACU, Emergency Department, or Surgical Critical Care, Surgical ICU, Operating Room, or Surgical IMC experience Required
  • 3 years of recent Operating Room or PACU experience
Licenses & Certifications
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire Required
  • Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required
