Job description

The role
As an Engineer at Superpower, you will play a critical role in architecting and delivering the foundational technology for Superpower's digital health platform. This is a unique opportunity for a product-minded, entrepreneurial engineer to work at the intersection of software, healthcare innovation, and human performance. You will collaborate directly with the founding team to build scalable systems and beautiful user experiences that empower users to manage their health more effectively.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement end-to-end software solutions, from front-end components to backend infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and clinical teams to shape a seamless, user-centric health platform.
  • Build and maintain scalable microservices architecture and modern web applications.
  • Own technical decisions and contribute to company-wide product strategy and planning.
  • Establish and enforce best practices in testing, security, and performance optimization.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering workflows and infrastructure.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a focus on full stack web development.
  • Deep experience with modern frameworks such as React, Node.js, Typescript, and related tooling.
  • Strong knowledge of system design, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services (especially AWS/Fargate).
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Passion for healthcare, wellness, or longevity tech is a strong plus.
  • Prior experience at an early-stage startup or as a founding engineer is highly desirable.
