Tyler Union, a division of McWane, Inc., is the nationโ€™s leading manufacturer of Ductile Iron Waterworks Fittings and Appurtenances has an immediate opening for a Territory Sales Manager for Region-51(ย Eastern and Southern Wisconsin, East Dubuque, and the Chicago, Illinois metro area).ย Tyler Union's main manufacturing facility is located in Anniston, AL. Candidate hired must reside in Territory.

The Territory Sales Manager is charged with growing Tyler Unionโ€™s market share through specification efforts and by managing, maintaining, and expanding the existing distributor base while providing quality customer service in support of the sales and profitability goals for the assigned territory.ย  The Manager will also assist with technical questions and installation needs through superior product knowledge.

This is a salaried position, with bonus potential, and an excellent benefits package with health, life, dental, and vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability, vacation, holiday pay and 401(k).

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES include the following:

  • Follow all processes and procedures associated with the Tyler Union Safety Management Program. Always adhere to Company safety rules and regulations and work safely.
  • Develop strong communication networks and relationships with distributors, engineers, and municipalities.
  • Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of distributors.
  • Recommend products to customers, based on customersโ€™ needs and interests.
  • Service existing accounts and communicate with clients on a regular basis.ย 
  • Submit weekly reports to management highlighting market conditions.
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential, and using discretion, sound judgement and professionalism.
  • Focus on sales growth of multiple product lines.
  • Help grow market share and volume by exploring and embracing assigned opportunities.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules, marketing techniques, etc.
  • Participate in trade associations, including assisting with seminars, trade shows, and presentations.
  • Communicate regularly with Regional Sales Manager to monitor needs/concerns within the territory and for allocation of resources.
  • Prepares price quotations or bids based on knowledge of material and most recent market conditions.
  • Work with Project Manager to identify and prioritize large jobs in the region.
  • Identify specification targets to manage along with Sales Engineer.
  • Troubleshoot field issues and potential product claims.
  • Identify potential new products needed to serve market.
  • Maintain all company property provided to you with respect.ย 
  • Perform various other miscellaneous sales and service-related duties as directed by management.
