Job description

Overview
Waters Corporation is currently looking to hire a CNC Machinist to join our organization within our Global Machining Operations.
This individual would join a large team of professionals who work within our world-class 50,000 square-foot Machining/Manufacturing facility. This facility includes over 90+ start of the art CNC machines and technologies. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated machinist to work in our exciting, fast paced work environment utilizing a variety of CNC lathe and CNC Milling technologies to produce machined components for our biotechnology products.
The position requires operation abilities of secondary machining equipment, manual secondary work such as cleaning and deburring, computer skill set for material movement transactions in SAP and potential ability to operate CNC equipment at an entry level. Inspection of own and other Associates' parts. Excellent communication skills are paramount as working with other associates is a required function.
This opening is an Mon-Fri position for 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Responsibilities
  • Under direct supervision follow written process and learn to operate a variety of CNC machines after material movement and other duties are complete for the day.
  • Set-up and operate secondary equipment and perform any other functions within the department that may be necessary.
  • Inspect completed material utilizing visual and hand inspection equipment, i.e. Vernier calipers; Micrometer and drop dial indicators as well as learning profilometer and CMM operations.
  • Interact in a Manufacturing environment with a variety of personnel and shift change over a daily basis.
  • Report any safety or maintenance concerns to management immediately.
  • Maintain their work area in a clean orderly condition and follows safety procedures.

Qualifications
Education:
  • Vocational trades school, high school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:
  • 1-3 years in a Machining Environment

  • Lift Material up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to bend at the waist/ pick up something from the floor
