Job Description:

If you are a Production Assembly professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Sidney, OH location.

As a Production Team Member, you will support the manufacturing of Copeland compressors, condensing units, and component parts through manual assembly and the operation of automated equipment. Responsibilities include assembling, testing, inspecting, and packaging compressors and sub-assemblies in accordance with production schedules, safety requirements, and quality standards within an ISO 9001 environment. Team members follow standardized work instructions, utilize hand and power tools, perform basic troubleshooting, and ensure proper documentation of production activities. The role requires adherence to union (IUE-CWA) work rules, collaboration with team members and supervisors, and maintaining a safe, organized work area while meeting productivity and quality expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Fit and assemble parts to create completed product.
  • Read and understand work instructions to ensure production schedule is maintained.
  • Understand and meet standards for acceptable part and product quality, including verifying dimensions, alignment, and conformance of a finished workpiece to specifications.
  • Be responsible for various functions on the assembly line and be capable of rotating to any job on the line interchangeably on a regular basis.
  • Be able to work both independently and collaboratively with other colleagues and teams while upholding Copeland's core values of Excellence, Innovation, Partnership, Respect, and Responsibility.
  • Promote and maintain safety and open communication throughout the facility.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be available to work any 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift.
  • Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and push or pull parts or containers frequently.
  • Ability to read and understand job instructions.
  • Ability to work overtime when needed.
  • Ability to independently use a computer to own and update information in Workday and ADP.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, essential functions assessment, and drug screen.
