Job description

Title:

Specialist, Quality Assurance

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.

KBR is looking for aSpecialist, Quality Assurance to provide technical expertise in support of the Quality program at the client site in Wilmington, DE. Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, the incumbent performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field.

This position is located at a working plant site in Wilmington, DE.

Must be willing to travel locally to other KBR work sites.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Plan and manage electrical constructionprojects and ensured the accuracy of construction installments

  • Act as startup commissioning electrician.

  • Work with coworkers and subcontractors on installation, all terminations and final check out of MCC's and DCS/PLC cabinets.

  • Review all field equipment terminations.

  • Ensure a complete and quality installation of all gear panels, DCS/PLC cabinets and devices

  • Address and correct quality issues and ensure installations are up to code and meet all defined expectations

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Minimum of 7 years of Electrical experience on an industrial plant site.

  • Experience with the new installation of motor control centers, High voltage Switchgear, all types of distribution panels and control panels.

  • Must have a solid understanding of High Voltage and Low Voltage Terminations, Electrical Inspections, Problem Resolution, and Electrical Operations

  • Must have a solid understanding of National Electrical codes. NCCER Plus Certified is preferred.

  • Licensed Electrician

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Should be familiar with Microsoft Office Word and Excel

Physical Qualifications

Work is located at a working client site:

  • Requires exposure to ambient temperature extremes

  • Extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces and working in small or confined spaces.

  • Some lifting may be required, up to 20lbs

  • Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress).

  • Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, hearing and eye protection, steel-toed boots, etc.)

  • Day-to-day physical requirements involve standard office activities including sitting/standing for extended periods of time, attending meetings, use of keyboard and mouse repetitively
