Role:


Under general supervision, but following established policies and procedures, the Web Developer is responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing Apple Federal Credit Union's public web sites and Intranet. Adapts marketing content to a Web-friendly format, creates and maintains the infrastructure of the content, assists in running the web server software, and other web-related software. Creates and implements online programs that favorably project the credit union's image and develops and maintains online programs that are competitive and consistent with the goals and objectives set by the President/CEO. Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with The Apple Way principles, of Team Up, serve With Purpose, Challenge Yourself and Own It. Remains cognizant of and adheres to credit union policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act. Perform other duties as assigned by the AVP, Web Operations.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains the credit union’s web portal, ensuring user accessibility with optimum navigation to the site.
  • Develops the visual design and/or layout of web site artwork, and overall "look & feel" to enhance user experience and site performance.
  • Reviews project requests, provides feedback and designs prototype web pages. Works with the AVP of Web Operations to establish direction and schedule for projects.
  • Develops site expansion and functionality concepts based on credit union’s strategies and objectives.
  • Updates site as needed (daily, weekly, etc.) with consumer information, surveys, credit union product and service information, forms and applications.
  • Conducts online technology research: tracks and understands new web technologies. Provides technical guidance in developing service applications. Recommends Internet related policies and procedures.
  • Customizes web-based interactive features.
  • Gathers and reports the monthly site usage statistics to the AVP of Web Operations.
  • Develops and maintains the graphics, text, and front-end of Apple FCU’s online banking program.

Creates:

  • Online and Web graphic banners and ads when required.
  • All electronic forms and applications for the Internet and Intranet.
  • And maintains documentation of all web projects.
  • And maintains documentation of all creative work including banners, pop-ups and graphics library.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years relevant professional experience as a Web Developer.

Education:

College degree in Marketing, Computer Science or Communications preferred.

Interpersonal Skills:

Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Other Skills:

Strong coding skills using Microsoft Visual Studio. Technical knowledge of .NET framework and Microsoft SQL Server database. Experience with the Umbraco CMS or coding in a modern headless CMS platform. Knowledge of HTML, DHTML, multimedia applications, including ASP.NET, and JavaScript. Strong initiative and ability to learn new technologies quickly. Ability to work accurately under pressure. Strong planning and organizational skills. Ability to meet deadlines and have strong service orientation skills.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
