For over seven decades investor-owned utilities, municipalities, cooperatives, and others have entrusted their electrical construction and maintenance needs to Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. (Elliot).

Elliot is a full-service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground distribution, transmission, substations, lighting, traffic signaling, utility locating and industrial/commercial services.

Job Description

We are seeking dependable Concrete Laborers to support concrete crews on commercial and/or residential construction projects. This position involves assisting with formwork, concrete placement, finishing operations, and general jobsite tasks. Ideal candidates are hardworking, safety-minded, and willing to learn. As part of the day-to-day responsibilities, you will be completing the following:

  • Assist with setting and stripping concrete forms
  • Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment
  • Support concrete placement, screeding, and finishing activities
  • Operate hand and power tools safely
  • Help with rebar placement, tying, and installation
  • Perform site cleanup and maintain a safe, organized work area
  • Follow directions from foremen and experienced crew members
  • Adhere to company safety policies and OSHA regulations

Qualifications

  • Previous construction or concrete experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy materials
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Class A CDL is preferred but not required to hire (required within 6 months)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Own your own hand tools
  • Must be able to learn from On-the-Job training and work well with others
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screening
