Description

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares all food items properly in accordance with printed orders and plating instructions, avoids waste in preparation.
  • Follows and prepares all items on the prep list or as otherwise told by the supervisor and maintains quality and fresh product.
  • Ensures quality standards are maintained by visual inspection of vegetables, fruits and meats used. Rotates fruits and vegetables properly to maintain freshness.
  • Sets up the pantry, obtains and distributes all requisitioned supplies. Stocks and cleans all kitchen areas. Keeps workstation neat and orderly.
  • Carries a calibrated thermometer to check prepared food for proper and safe temperature.
  • Maintains sanitation buckets with proper ratio of bleach to water.
  • Uses protective gloves when preparing food.
  • Prepares for a rush period of work without getting behind.
  • Follows the instructions of supervisors.
  • Handles pressure during peak hours.
  • Provides exceptional customer service.
  • Works safely, following all established safety rules and regulations.
  • Communicates effectively with co-workers, supervisors and guests.
  • Follows all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Must comply with the company's recycling program standards.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
