Job description

As a DOT Foreman for RAM Construction Services, you will assist in the revitalization and construction of our projects. You will perform a variety of tasks that aid our skilled trade workers and lead to the completion and success of a project. Please note that this position may require the employee to travel for up to 4 weeks at a time, dependent on your project location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinating work efforts to ensure top safety and quality of projects
  • Ensuring the project has adequate crew members and resources
  • Help coordinate construction work according to priorities and plans
  • Able to read and understand blueprint plans and specifications for a project, as well as communicate this information to others
  • Reporting progress and other required information to the Superintendent
  • Follow schedules and monitoring crew progress
  • Allocating general and daily responsibilities
  • Responsible for building positive relationships with contractors, inspectors, and fellow subcontractors
  • Performing construction duties

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • This position requires a minimum education level of High School Diploma or GED equivalent and working knowledge of e-mailing and computers.
  • 3+ Years Experience running work as a foreperson.
  • Prior experience with concrete, coatings and as a construction foreperson required.
  • Employee is required to have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation- valid CDL A is a plus.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will supervise crew members. Anyone with supervisory responsibilities is expected to supervise in a professional and positive manner.

TRAVEL: Travel is required for this position, the employee must be willing to travel for up to 4 weeks at a time. RAM will compensate a $50 per diem each day for daily food allowance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: As a Foreperson for RAM, the employee will be subject to various work environments. Work environments may include but are not limited to the following: seasonal temperatures, high spaces, small spaces, loud and frequent noises, standing/walking for up to 12 hours a day, indoor/outdoor settings, areas close to traffic.
