Job description

Redwood Credit Union is looking for a Temporary Mortgage Loan Coordinator I with an emphasis on Construction, who will coordinate and partner with Members; loan officers and construction lending staff to provide loan application assistance and coordinate the collection of new construction and rebuild documentation. Assemble member and contractor files; collect information and documentation necessary to submit file to underwriting.

Key Responsibilities
Member Experience
Provide exceptional service to all Members, volunteers, internal team members, and service providers.
Represent RCU in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
ย Intake new loan applications into Accenture Mortgage Cadence Loan Fulfillment Center (LFC) from Members via phone, walk-in, referrals from branches, other departments, or Loan Officers.
ย Act as the primary contact for Member walk-in traffic for mortgage lending department.
ย Respond to branch emails requesting Member walk-in's and return calls with a sense of urgency.
ย Collect upfront documents such as income and asset verification from Members. Run "Contact Us" report daily from LFC and follow up with Members requests or questions.
ย Upon receipt of daily Incomplete Loan report, review incomplete loan in LFC and determine next steps with Member to complete loan application or adverse action.
ย Log-in to department phone queue during scheduled times.
ย Cross-sell RCU and RCUSG products and services.
ย 
Electronic Loan File Management:
ย Process and deliver various regulatory notices, such as Reg B/10 Day, Statement of Credit Denial, Credit Score Disclosure, etc. as necessary to remain compliant.
ย Ensure confidentiality and safeguard sensitive Member financial information.
ย Upload various loan documentation to virtual loan folders in a timely manner.
ย Monitor Mail Mortgage Lending emails, and scanned documents from branches and distribute as necessary.
ย Assignment of daily loan applications to LO team.
Assist Loan Processing team with WVOE and VVOE.

Minimum Qualification: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Skill in the operation of a PC with word processing and spreadsheet software and intranet and Internet access.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with a diverse group of people including vendors and other Credit Union team members.
  • Ability to act independently and confidentially, using discretion and tact.
  • Ability to analyze situations and recommend workable solutions.
  • Ability to coordinate a variety of activities simultaneously and prioritize work.

Licenses and Certifications
Ability to obtain and maintain registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry in compliance with the requirements of Federal Law, including the SAFE ACT and NCUA part 761.
The ideal candidate has a combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma, plus a minimum of one year of experience working in an office or administrative setting.

Compensation:ย Base starting range: $24.00 to $31.00 hourly commensurate with experience.
Our base salary starting range is based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist, and turn.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.
Work environment is indoors; majority of the time is spent sitting at a desk.
