Resident Manager - Fiber Optic Construction

Qualifications
  • We are looking for a Resident Manager to support the construction of a dark fiber conduit line across Virginia. This job will be working in tandem with a Construction Manager and an Inspector. The Resident Manager should be based out of the Huntsville, AL area and expect to travel to the construction sites across Virginia roughly 80% of their time.
    The following are the primary role and responsibilities:
  • Inspect fiber optic construction sites to ensure they comply with contract terms and local, state, and federal regulations for safety and compliance
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure that the work meets or exceeds the specifications outlined in the project plan
  • Communicate with contractors and other construction personnel to ensure they are meeting project schedule requirements
  • Report any discrepancies or problems with the construction site to Construction Manager for resolution
  • Identify and recommend improvements to the construction process to enhance efficiency and maintain project objectives
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all construction activity and project status
    • Regular deliverables expected of the Resident Manager:
      Construction Activity Register
      Site Fiber Optic Inspection Register
      Construction Site Discrepancies Register
