KC-46 Fleet Reliability Systems Engineer (Mid-Level or Senior)

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level or Senior KC-46 Fleet Reliability Systems Engineer to support the KC-46 System Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) Team in Tukwila, Washington or Everett, Washington.

The successful candidate will provide senior reliability and maintainability engineering expertise with emphasis on Diminished Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) for the growing KC-46 fleet including both domestic and international customers. This is a unique opportunity to support the KC-46 program as a part of a highly engaged team with a broad set of responsibilities including, but not limited to: Parts Obsolescence, reliability and maintainability. In this role, you will have the opportunity to deeply analyze reliability, obsolescence, and sustainment data to identify opportunities to improve aircraft availability and effectiveness. The BGS KC-46 program is growing quickly - this is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of KC-46 sustainment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
  • Evaluate customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
  • Perform various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
  • Perform analyses for reliability, maintainability, diagnostics, system health, testability, and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success
  • Develop, maintain and identify improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes
  • Resolve cross-functional technical issues
  • Establish DMSMS Programs: Develop and implement comprehensive DMSMS programs to proactively address potential material shortages and obsolescence issues
  • Proactively researching parts across program to seek out possible obsolescence issues and support mitigation for any potential obsolescence risks identified
  • Gather Engineering Data: Collect and analyze engineering data necessary for conducting thorough DMSMS analyses
  • Identify DMSMS Risks and Issues: Monitor and identify risks and issues related to DMSMS that may impact program performance and aircraft readiness
  • Evaluate Impact: Assess the potential impact of identified DMSMS risks and issues on current and future operations
  • Develop Recommendations and Roadmaps: Create actionable recommendations and strategic roadmaps for DMSMS resolution, ensuring alignment with program objectives and stakeholder requirements
  • Works under general supervision
  • May be asked to support other programs or perform other duties as needed

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 3+ years of experience with Systems Engineering Principles
  • 3+ years of experience with extracting and compiling data from multiple sources
  • 3+ years working with customers and suppliers
  • 3+ years of experience analyzing data, performing trend analysis, and compiling reports

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance
  • Experience with organizational and team building skills performed in a cross-functional environment
  • Experience with computer programming and large database management
  • Experience with Government-Industry Exchange Program (GIDEP)
  • Experience with Item Unique Identification (IUID)
  • Experience with parts obsolescence management and mitigation
  • Experience working on military contract required deliverables
  • Experience with project management or project engineering
  • Experience in a role that requires strong analytical and organization skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams at multiple organizational levels in dynamic, fast-paced environment

Summary Pay Range for Mid-Level (Level 3): $119,850 - $162,150
