Job description

Join AZAD Technology Partners as a Civil Engineer Technician and provide experienced technical, organizational, and design support to the Structural and Civil Engineering organization within a regional utility. Work associated with this position will be directly related to design project assignments for substation, transmission lines, telecommunication sites, and facilities as they affect the transmission system, with the primary responsibility of coordinating project information, design information, drawings, and documentation betweenย organizationย and external engineering, materials, and construction vendors.ย 

This is aย 2 yearsย plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment.ย The position is located in Vancouver, Washington and is hybrid with onsite work 1 - 2 days weekly with upwards of 5% field travel. ย The beginning hourly pay rate for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $4.41) isย $40.35.ย 

The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications:

A degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science or a closely related field is preferred.
1 year of experience is required with an applicable bachelor's degree.
3 years of experience is required with an associate degree in an applicable field.
5 years of experience is required without a degree or applicable degree.
Experience must include specific civil and/or structural engineering technician experience and demonstrate a wide range of project tasks.
3 years of experience in the following is required:
MicroStation CAD platform and associated add-on products, preferably MicroStation 3D.
InRoads/OpenRoads, add-on to MicroStation, or similar.
Maintaining drawing and engineering records using ProjectWise or similar document management software.
Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
