Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Coral Gables, FL that is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator with deep expertise in hybrid cloud environments, enterprise directory services, and virtualized infrastructure. This role requires a technical professional who can manage complex systems across on-premises and cloud platforms while maintaining optimal performance, security, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Administer Azure Enterprise Applications including SSO configuration, conditional access policies, and application lifecycle management
* Manage Azure Active Directory (Azure AD/Entra ID) for user provisioning, identity governance, and security compliance
* Deploy and optimize Azure virtual machines, storage solutions, and networking infrastructure
* Implement Azure security frameworks and monitor compliance across cloud resources
* Administer Active Directory Domain Services including domain controllers, organizational units, and Group Policy management
* Manage DNS infrastructure ensuring reliable name resolution across hybrid environments
* Configure and maintain DHCP services including scope management, reservations, and failover clustering
* Implement directory synchronization between on-premises AD and Azure AD environments
* Design and manage virtualized infrastructure including VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or similar platforms
* Optimize virtual machine performance, resource allocation, and capacity planning
* Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions for virtualized environments
* Manage AWS EC2 instances, S3 storage, VPC networking, and security groups
* Support hybrid connectivity between on-premises and AWS environments
* Develop PowerShell scripts for system automation, reporting, and administrative tasks
* Create Azure PowerShell and AWS PowerShell modules for cloud resource management
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
* 5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure administration and Azure Enterprise Applications
* Strong expertise in Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP management
* Proficient in virtualization technologies and backup solution administration
* Experience with AWS services and PowerShell scripting
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills
* Demonstrated organizational skills and punctual completion of administrative tasks
* Proven track record of meeting performance objectives
Preferred Certifications:
* Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
* Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
* VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or similar virtualization certification
* AWS Certified Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator
Technical Skills Required:
* Advanced Active Directory and DNS
* Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation
* Backup and disaster recovery planning and implementation
* Change management and ITIL framework knowledge
* Performance monitoring and capacity planning
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
