Job Summary:
Texans Credit Union is looking for a Data Engineer to build and optimize scalable data pipelines, ensure data quality, and enable reliable, data-driven decision-making across the organization. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise DataMarts that transform complex, disparate data sources into structured, business-ready datasets.
• Apply advanced SQL expertise to build, optimize, and manage data transformations, aggregations, and logic supporting reporting and analytics.
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient data processing across systems.
• Translate business requirements into well-defined data models, ensuring consistency, usability, and alignment with enterprise data standards.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across the data lifecycle, including validation, reconciliation, and documentation of business logic.
• Optimize data models and queries for performance, scalability, and maintainability in analytics environments.
• Partner with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to design reusable, high-value data assets that support reporting and advanced analytics.
• Drive data design thinking, creating standardized, scalable structures that enable consistent KPI definitions and reporting accuracy.
• Support the development of dashboards and analytical solutions by delivering clean, reliable, and well-modeled datasets.
• Identify opportunities to improve data architecture, reduce redundancy, and enhance data accessibility across the organization.
• Communicate data structures, definitions, and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and business ethics standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent certifications.
• Minimum one to three years of similar or related experience.
