Serves as the technical and strategic advisor for financial institutions in the configuration of fraud and KYC decisioning workflows. Translates customerโ€™s KYC, operations, and compliance requirements into scalable, automated workflows that drive efficiency and measurable business impact. Operates as a recognized subject matter expert across KYC, KYB, AML, and risk decisioning disciplines, partnering with stakeholders internally and externally to shape scalable, forward-looking approaches to fraud prevention and compliance management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on fraud detection and risk strategies: Provide technical and operational guidance to help clients tailor risk decisioning strategies and effectively leverage the platform to detect, fight, and mitigate fraud.

  • Configure and document fraud strategy: Configure and provide strategy overview documentation to customers to ensure alignment on decisioning rules.

  • Facilitate end-to-end testing of fraud decisioning strategies to validate rule logic, assess performance, and ensure configurations are production-ready before go-live.

  • Train and enable clients: Deliver training on KYC platform system, manual review processes, and best practices to ensure clients can effectively operate and manage their fraud detection operations.

  • Be a trusted advisor to our clients, utilizing your industry and domain expertise to tailor risk decisioning strategies and recommendations. Each client has unique risk and identity verification standards โ€” you will be providing technical and operational guidance to help them effectively leverage our platform to detect, fight, and mitigate fraud.

  • Manage client-facing communication across mature organizations, interfacing with executives, project leads, and operational teams while acting as a customer advocate internally.

Recommended Experience & Education

Minimum Years of Experience

3-5 years in a banking or tech industry role with experience configuring KYC / Credit / Risk decisioning systems.

Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Qualifications

Required

  • Prior experience with bank or similar KYC / Credit / Risk decisioning systems (internal or external)

  • Technical aptitude to learn quickly, rapidly build product knowledge, and to build configurations; an understanding of web applications (e.g. JSON, XML, etc.) and web services APIs (e.g. SOAP, REST, etc.)

  • Hyper-organized with the ability to intelligently prioritize multiple competing projects and multiple streams of internal and external communication

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both internal and client-facing, with an ability to translate technical requirements into language that is understandable to different audiences

  • A passion for problem-solving, with a strong ability to recognize flawed processes or repeated issues and build scalable solutions

  • Experience creating cross-team processes and documentation

  • Ability to influence strategic product direction through data-driven recommendations and cross-functional collaboration

Preferred

  • Prior experience at a FinTech company or other financial institution subject to rigorous regulations

  • Prior experience in both enterprise software and a technology/SaaS company

  • Familiarity with Zendesk, Slack, and JIRA

The salary range for this position is: $96,000 - $120,000Cool Things to Know
