Job Description
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) in the Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and Science at Stevens Institute of Technology (Stevens) invites applications for Adjunct Instructor positions for the Spring Semester of 2026 and potentially the Fall Semester of 2026. The Adjunct Instructor will teach the in-person courses of Wireless Communications and GPU & Multicore Programming.
Responsibilities:
  • Teach Wireless Communications, EE 583
  • Teach GPU & Multicore Programming, CPE 810
  • Evaluate student performance and foster an open, inclusive class atmosphere
  • Communicate with the department regarding student learning performance and outcomes

Required Education and Experience:
  • Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment.
  • Successful candidates should have a demonstrated interest and commitment to excellence in graduate education. Prior college teaching experience in ECE is preferred.

Compensation Range
In compliance with the New Jersey Wage Transparency Act, the base salary range for this position is listed below. This range represents the University's good faith estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Stevens Institute of Technology determines compensation based on factors including the position's scope and responsibilities, the candidate's experience, education, skills, internal equity, market data, and organizational considerations. The final salary will be set considering departmental budget, qualifications, and relevant credentials.
Minimum: $8,600
Maximum: $9,400
Rate for less than 8 students: $1,120/student
