Job description

The North America Quality organization is currently seeking a Warranty Engineer to join the Field Quality & Control Tower team (FQCT) at the Headquarters & Technical Center (QEC) Auburn Hills, MI. FQCT Engineer is responsible for assisting in the administration and/or coordination of multiple vehicle systems including compiling project status reports, coordinating project schedules, managing project meetings, agendas, minutes and correspondence. The incumbent will report to a team lead or supervisor/manager and should have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for automotive and powertrain development. Opportunities are available in Propulsion System Group in the areas HVAC, Cooling, Intake & Exhaust.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Facilitating cross functional project meetings Compile project status reports, coordinate project schedules, agendas, minutes and correspondence Identify and analyze system requirements, and define project scope, requirements, and deliverables involving multiple stakeholders

· Lead the resolution of warranty related issues - Accountable for problem solving process, proposed solution, validation, and weekly progress

· Lead Triage – warranty claims review, sorting claims and bucketing, review and call vehicles at dealers, support Stellantis/Suppliers review at Quality Engineering Center and Manufacturing locations.

· Establish & validate containment & permanent actions at Stellantis / Supplier

· Plants by physically reviewing the product/process changes, internal metrics and control plan update

We are currently hiring in the following areas:

These positions offer the selected candidate an opportunity to be an integral part of a company whose focus is to change the automotive landscape.

Basic Qualifications:

· Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc) in Mechanical Engineering from accredited University

· 5+ years of experience in Product Engineering

· 2 + years of experience in testing/validation/test method development, including fixture design, instrumentation, data acquisition, etc.

· Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills

· Well-rounded automotive knowledge and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and able to manage unionized workforce

· Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel and Project

· Working knowledge of Teamcenter

· Working knowledge of GD&T and understanding full detail on drawings

Preferred Qualifications:

· Master's in Engineering

· Shainin RedX Black Belt

· Green Belt / Kepner Tregoe

· Design for Six Sigma
