Job description

Location: Pennsboro, WVWest Union Bank is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Full-Time Bank Teller (Universal Banker I)! As a teller, you will provide exceptional customer service, perform frontline teller duties, and build lasting customer relationships by identifying financial needs and recommending appropriate products and services. Voted the Best Bank or Credit Union in Harrison County in 2025 and 2026.Could you represent West Union Bank as a Teller?Required Teller Skills and Knowledge:High school diploma or equivalent.Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills.Integrity, reliability, accountability, and attention to detail.Perform accurate mathematical calculations.Confidentiality and sound judgment.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Strong computer skills, including ability to learn and navigate banking software, and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.Previous cash handling, retail, customer service, or teller experience preferred. Physical Requirements: This job involves lifting and carrying coin boxes weighing up to 15 pounds, and standing much of the day. Additionally, ability to travel to customer sites, off-site meetings/events, all bank offices, and other business-related functions is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.Work Environment: The position operates in a professional office environment and requires the regular use of standard office equipment such as computers, printers, telephones, copiers, etc. Additionally, this position will require the use of various banking equipment such as multi-function printers, teller scanners, currency counters, coin machines, check encoders, Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs), and alarm systems.Benefits:401(k): The Bank matches 50% of employee contributions, up to a maximum employer contribution equal to 3% of annual base pay.Dental and Vision Insurance: The Bank pays 100% of Employee Dental and Vision Insurance Premiums. Dependent Dental and Vision Insurance is available at employee cost.
