Key responsibilities

  • Engage with prospects and clients to understand reinsurance programs and map them to platform capabilities.

  • Own the development of functional specifications and implementation tickets for reinsurance workflows.

  • Support the delivery process by staying engaged as the reinsurance authority, participating in validation, and ensuring reinsurance functionality is built to spec.

Job description

About INTX
INTX is a modern (Re)insurance Operating System built for specialty P&C reinsurers, carriers, MGAs and, captives. We unify policy, billing, claims, reinsurance, and reporting into a single configurable platform, eliminating the cost and complexity of legacy core systems. Our platform handles complex insurance and reinsurance workflows through flexible, rules-driven configuration, enabling organizations to streamline operations, optimize financial control, and gain real-time visibility across their business using AI to enhance these rules driven processes.
Built by experienced insurance and reinsurance operators, INTX supports clients across North America, Europe, Bermuda, and other global markets. As we continue to scale, we are strategically bringing key capabilities in-house to drive consistency, speed, and delivery quality across every engagement.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Reinsurance Solution Architect to serve as the functional and domain expert across the full client lifecycle. From early solution design through go-live, you are the person who understands software implementation processes, how reinsurance programs actually work, how AI can be used to optimize processes and translates that into structured requirements, system logic, and implementation-ready specifications that the delivery team can build from.
You will engage with prospects and clients at key points in the sales and implementation process, own the functional scoping, write the tickets, and stay close to delivery as the reinsurance authority that the client and internal team rely on. You will be required to run multiple engagements simultaneously and build repeatable frameworks that make every future implementation faster and sharper.
You will work across treaty and facultative structures, assumed and ceded arrangements, and the full range of reinsurance workflows our clients need to operate. Your development of processes, patterns and knowledge will sharpen how INTX implements reinsurance at scale.
This is a high-impact, client-facing role with direct exposure to leadership, enterprise prospects, and industry partners.
What You'll Do
Solution Design and Scoping
  • Engage with prospects and clients as the reinsurance domain expert during solution design, discovery, and scoping
  • Map client reinsurance programs - treaty, facultative, assumed, ceded - to INTX platform capabilities and define the functional solution
  • Identify gaps between client requirements and platform capabilities early, and drive resolution through product, engineering, or configurable workarounds
  • Own the functional specifications and implementation tickets that give the delivery team a clear, unambiguous build plan

Implementation Engagement
  • Stay engaged as the reinsurance authority throughout delivery, supporting the program manager and keeping the client aligned on reinsurance workstreams
  • Serve as the single point of contact for all reinsurance-related questions from the client and internal team
  • Participate in UAT and validation to confirm reinsurance functionality is built to spec
  • Run multiple concurrent engagements without losing quality or client confidence

Internal Enablement and Scalability
  • Build and maintain reinsurance scoping frameworks, requirements templates, and implementation playbooks
  • Act as the internal SME for product, engineering, and delivery teams on reinsurance concepts and workflows
  • Contribute insights that shape platform direction and roadmap decisions based on real client needs
  • Raise the reinsurance fluency of the broader team over time

Who Thrives Here
You will do well in this role if you:
  • Have hands-on reinsurance experience and understand reinsurance processes and programs actually operate in practice
  • Can translate complex reinsurance structures into system logic and implementation-ready requirements and proactively identify process shortcomings.
  • Are comfortable owning the functional solution from first conversation through go-live
  • Thrive as the expert anchor on a deal without needing to own project management
  • Move between multiple engagements without losing depth or client trust
  • Are comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in a fast-moving startup environment
  • Have a proactive desire to harness SaaS, LLMs and modern technology for the good of the industry

Why INTX
  • Define how reinsurance is implemented in a cutting-edge modern SaaS platform, at scale
  • Work directly with senior product leadership and industry operators
  • Gain exposure across products, clients, and strategic partnerships
  • Attend industry conferences and reinsurance-focused events
  • Clear path into product, sales engineering, or client strategy roles

Requirements
Must-Have
  • 2-3+ years of hands-on reinsurance experience (cedant, reinsurer, or broker side)
  • Strong working knowledge of treaty and facultative structures, cession workflows, recoverables, and Schedule F
  • Experience gathering client requirements or scoping system implementations
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into structured, actionable specifications
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice-to-Have
  • Background in reinsurance operations, underwriting support, or actuarial exposure
  • Experience with insurance or reinsurance software platforms
  • Familiarity with P&C markets across carriers and reinsurers
  • Experience working alongside technical or engineering teams
  • Microsoft Azure familiarity
  • Certifications: CBAP, PMP, CSM

Benefits
INTX offers the following benefits for eligible employees and dependents:
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Generous PTO
