Job Summary:
UNICOM Government Inc. is focused on driving technical sales and creating solutions for complex customer challenges. As a Technical Solution Sales Executive, the primary responsibility is to generate revenue by developing and maintaining relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, and architecting tailored technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Revenue Generation & Growth – Directly responsible for driving and helping close net new revenue and profitable growth via formulation and architecting technical solutions that meet client/partner needs.
• Innovation Planning – Work closely with high-level or complex accounts to develop tailored technical strategies that align the company’s offerings with the clients broader business objectives.
• Keeping abreast of new technology/changes that support the innovative planning work.
• Build and Maintain Client Relationships – Establish and nurture trusted advisor relationships with key client stakeholders.
• Perform as the technical lead between customer/partner challenges and UNICOM’s solutions.
• Advocate for Customers – Represent the voice of the customer in internal UNICOM discussions, championing client requirements.
• Contribute to Launch Strategies – Be the technical expert in cross company action teams focused on effectively launching UNICOM solutions to government entities.
• Identify Use Cases – Develop relevant “use cases” based on client or government needs/initiatives.
• Identify Trends and Collaborate – Identify government technical trends, gather client feedback, and collaborate with internal product teams on solution requirements.
• Drive Revenue Growth – Develop effective technical growth strategies, collaborating with sales, for key accounts and high-value clients to increase and advance revenue.
• Lead Sales Cycle – Manage the technical solutions sales cycle, and assist in closing technical complex deals.
• Internal Cross-Functional Support – Work with internal company teams as needed from proposal to delivery of solutions.
• Mentor Team Members – Guide other team members on the most effective approaches to bring in revenue for specific solutions.
• Deep Knowledge of UNICOM IT Solutions – Understand and advocate for UNICOM emerging technology solutions including knowledge of the competitive landscape and technology advancement.
Qualifications:
Required:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or other related field. Substantial relevant experience may be substituted for degree.
• At least five years of federal government related technical sales experience required.
• Proven experience in executive federal discussions and customers.
• Solid experience with CRM software.
• Experience in selling, architecting, and/or delivering client-focused IT solutions based on customer needs.
• Proven track record in strategic technical account solution development and client management that delivers profitable growth.
• Proven ability to manage multiple accounts with technical solutions, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
• Exceptional listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, particularly with federal government clients.
• Working knowledge and experience of the federal government information technology (IT) solution market including an understanding of contracts, prime and subcontractor relationships, along with architecting and solutioning sales.
• Demonstrable ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze client needs and recommend in-house solutions.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Must be able to successfully complete a U.S. government-administered investigation for security clearance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must also be able to maintain a U.S. Government clearance.
Preferred:
• Department of Defense (DoD) experience
• MS Dynamics experience
• Proficient knowledge and usage of the Google Work Suite
