What will make you successful (Qualifications)

  • A minimum of 1 year of professional or volunteer experience in a customer service role
  • Junior or Senior studying Finance, Business, or Real Estate or related area
  • Pursing a bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Finance, and or related area required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Self-starter with the capacity to work independently while possessing a team attitude and willingness to learn
  • Effective at time and task management
  • Ability to think critically, assist in preparing financial analysis, and determine the creditworthiness of a company as a tenant
  • Basic ability to understand and interpret corporate financial concepts, including Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements
  • Eager and willing to learn the processes of a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT)
  • Can commit to working a minimum of 20-25 hours in person at our Scottsdale Office

What most days will include (Primary Duties)

Underwriting and Portfolio Management Intern:

  • Support efforts to underwrite, negotiate and manage single-tenant-net-lease exposure across the United States, which includes the preparation of detailed investment memoranda and presentation materials to Senior Management.
  • Analysis of property level and corporate financial statements for STORE's existing customers as well as potential acquisitions.
  • Assist with forming and communicating investment theses as well as strategies to mitigate any risks across tenants and industries.
  • Assist the Credit Underwriting and Portfolio Management team in monitoring the performance of STORE's existing portfolio by conducting credit reviews, analyzing customer financial statements, and identifying potential risks or opportunities.
  • Help prepare credit memos, and internal presentations used to guide portfolio strategy and decision-making. 
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Underwriting and Acquisitions, to ensure consistency and transparency in evaluations.

Marketing Intern:

  • Assist in the planning of STORE's Annual Customer Conference, the Inside Track Forum.
  • Research venues and entertainment options, attend site visits and assist Marketing Specialist with conference budge
  • Create content for Conference Email Marketing Campaign
  • Create Email Marketing Content for Prospective and Current Customer Campaigns
  • Create content marketing pieces including collateral, white papers, ad copy, etc.
  • Assist in creating, managing and executing overall Digital Marketing Strategy
  • Perform Quarterly Competitor Analysis for Digital Marketing
  • Other misc. tasks as assigned by Marketing Specialist

Acquisitions Intern:

  • Lead Generation through our two primary contact database systems (Pitchbook and Data Axle Genie)
  • Manage our Sales Conference List and coordinate meetings for our Managing Directors with conference attendees
  • Perform Customer Research as directed by our managing directors
  • Manage email interactions and assign leads to appropriate Managing Directors as needed
  • Work with other department interns on end of semester internship completion project
  • Attend related department meetings and contribute as directed


Data Analytics:

  • Support the Data Analytics team by analyzing and interpreting data to support strategic decision-making across the organization. 
  • Assist in the development of dashboards, data visualizations, and ad hoc reports using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and SQL.
  • Contribute to data integrity projects, help identify data trends, and provide insights that support underwriting, acquisitions, and portfolio management initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and improve reporting processes.
