Executive Underwriter, Energy
Location: Houston or New York

Our extensive portfolio of products and services, combined with an international network of local insurers in over 150 countries, enables us to offer comprehensive domestic and global insurance solutions for U.S.-based multinational companies.
We are currently seeking a seasoned Executive Underwriter, Energy, to join our team, focusing on underwriting complex energy risks and contributing to the growth of our energy portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
  • Underwrite and manage a portfolio of complex energy accounts, including both renewable and traditional energy risks.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients to drive profitable growth within the energy segment.
  • Analyze and evaluate risk exposures and coverage needs to deliver tailored insurance solutions.
  • Collaborate with global underwriting teams and internal stakeholders on large or specialized accounts.
  • Monitor market trends and contribute to the development of underwriting strategies and product offerings.

Skills, Knowledge amp; Abilities
  • Deep technical expertise in energy underwriting, encompassing oil amp; gas, power generation, and renewable energy sectors.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risks and develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a client-focused approach.
  • Proven ability to manage relationships with brokers and clients at a senior level.
  • Familiarity with global insurance programs and multinational underwriting practices.

Additional Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; CPCU or other relevant industry certifications preferred.
  • 10+ years of commercial underwriting experience, with a focus on energy risks.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client and broker meetings.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Experience working within a global insurance framework is a plus.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $170,000-$200,000 plus eligibility for a performance-based annual bonus. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including experience, education, and location.
