Welder and HDPE Technician at Roberts Irrigation
Location Bloomer, WI
Job Summary
Using various welding techniques to fix irrigation systems using a variety of materials and pipe sizes. Working as a team and occasionally independently to complete projects in a timely manner that exceeds the customers' standards and expectations. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $26.00 per hour
Responsibilities
Ability to weld various materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
Fitting of metal and HDPE pipes and fittings from: 1โ€ up to 16โ€ diameter.
Fusing HDPE of varying diameters. Preferred but not required
Fabrication of plumbing components from water source to distribution system
Light mechanical work and fabrication of fixtures
Interpreting and utilizing basic blueprints
Installation and hookup of underground water pipe
Qualifications
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
CDL preferred, but not required. Company will assist in training
Able to work proficiently both independently and within a team environment
Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Willing to work variable hours and travel in state as needed
Ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders frequently.
Must have a desire to learn and grow professionally and personally with willingness to help others
Communicate effectively both verbally and digitally
Prior welding experience with MIG, TIG, and SMAW highly preferred
Ability to weld in various conditions and positions
Experience with HDPE fusing preferred but not required
Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklift, skid steer, crane, and excavator highly preferred
Willingness to help with all divisions of the company as needed.
