Overview

We are seeking an experienced Foreman to oversee and actively participate in underground electrical construction projects, primarily serving mobile home parks and RV parks. This is a working foreman position responsible for leading crews in the field, coordinating daily operations, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring quality workmanship from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and work alongside underground electrical crews on active construction sites
  • Perform and oversee all phases of underground electrical work including trenching, conduit installation, setting equipment, pulling wire, backfill, and site restoration
  • Read, interpret, and explain plans, specifications, and layouts to field crews
  • Coordinate daily activities with Project Managers, Superintendents, inspectors, utility companies, and other trades
  • Layout work using lasers, levels, or other measuring equipment as required
  • Maintain daily job logs and communicate progress, material needs, and issues
  • Plan ahead to ensure proper labor, materials, and equipment are available
  • Order materials and maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment
  • Ensure all work meets company standards, project specifications, and applicable codes

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
  • Conduct daily job hazard analysis meetings and weekly toolbox talks
  • Ensure proper PPE use and safe work practices at all times
  • Identify, correct, and report unsafe conditions immediately
  • Maintain awareness of existing underground and overhead utilities
  • Report all incidents, injuries, or property damage promptly

Experience & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in underground electrical or utility construction; foreman or lead experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of underground electrical distribution systems
  • Experience with site development projects, mobile home parks, or RV parks preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications
  • OSHA training, Competent Person, or First Aid certification preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to travel as required by project schedules
Physical Demands
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs, with or without assistance
  • Stand, walk, and work 8–12 hours per day on uneven terrain (dirt, gravel, mud, debris)
  • Repeatedly bend, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, reach, climb, and balance
  • Dig, trench, backfill, shovel, and hand-excavate using manual and mechanical tools
  • Work in trenches, excavations, and confined spaces at varying depths
  • Repetitive use of hands, arms, shoulders, and back; sustained grip strength required
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment controls
Work Environment & Conditions
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, dust, and direct sunlight
  • Exposure to high noise levels, vibration, dust, and construction materials
  • Work around heavy equipment, moving machinery, traffic, and live electrical components
  • Ability to see, hear, and respond to job site hazards, alarms, radios, and verbal instructions
Schedule, Endurance & Safety
  • Ability to work extended hours, overtime, weekends, and travel as required
  • Maintain physical stamina for daily, repetitive manual labor
  • Perform all duties while wearing required PPE
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations and assist in securing the job site
