Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate work projects within the electrical scope of the project
  • Ensure the high-quality installation of electrical portions of the project including but not limited to underground cabling, trenching and excavation, and cable backfill operations.
  • Provide drawing, constructability, submittal reviews, and feedback with the engineering team, verifying that the quality of materials, equipment, and workmanship conforms to the specifications and updates of the contract documents
  • Coordinate with the Construction Manager in formwork selection, crew and equipment sizing, and site utilization plans.
  • Work with Construction Manager in the development of project schedules and updates, and the creation of 3-week look-aheads.
  • Supervise and ensure quality control of the work team, including self-performed and any applicable subcontracted work
  • Supervise the installation, splicing, and termination of fiber optic cables
  • Attend and participate in project meetings, and provide liaison between field engineers and contractors or craft workers to ensure electrical components of the project comply with drawings and specifications

Qualifications and Expectations:

  • Experience reading drawings and other construction documents
  • 5 or more years of construction experience with a successful track record working with electrical systems
  • 2 or more years of a supervisory role
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations related to electrical and trenching activities.
  • Completion of OSHA 30 preferred, but not required
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written
  • Valid Driver's License
