Job description

Computer Evidence Specialists has been contracted by the FDA to perform tobacco compliance inspections in South Carolina. CES inspectors and underage purchasers will perform non-confrontational compliance checks on local tobacco retailers to ensure the sale of tobacco products to minors is restricted.
Ideal underage purchasers will be 16 - 20 years old, have a strong work ethic, and have sufficient free time to complete the assigned inspections with the inspector. Purchasers must complete the following forms which will be provided by CES: Parental Release, Medical Release, Underage Purchaser Agreement, Non-Disclosure Agreement and Commitment to Protect Non-Public Information.
Underage Purchaser Responsibilities:
  • Complete short online training course.
  • Must be under the age of 20 years and 9 months when performing any compliance check.
  • Access to a car is not needed for the underage purchaser.
  • Purchaser will not deceive the retailer in any way.
  • Will dress normally, use valid identification, and will not lie about their age.
  • Compensated starting at $17.75/ hour
  • In addition this role is subject to federal service contract labor standards that provides additional compensation.
  • Applicants ages 18-20 will receive a background check
