Job description


Seeking experienced highly motivated technicians to work in commercial kitchens both hot and cold side, specializing in both hot and cold side equipment installs, maintains and repairs appliances used in restaurants, food service businesses and industrial kitchens. The role requires strong technical knowledge, troubleshooting skills and the ability to work safely and efficiently in fast paced-environments. Minimum 1-2 years experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Hot Side
  • Able to work independently on fast food chain equipment ( fryers, ovens, grills, steamers, walk in coolers, reaching freezers).
  • Perform routine maintenance on gas and electric systems.
  • Calibrate thermostats, safety switches, burners and heating elements.
Cold Side

  • Work on walk in freezers/coolers, reaching freezing/coolers, under counter refrigeration system, ice machines, prep tables.
  • Troubleshoot compressors, refrigerant leaks, evaporators and thermostatic controls.
  • Conduct system performance tests and preventive maintenance. 
General Duties

  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
  • Install new equipment and ensure proper code compliance
  • Follow all safety guidelines related to electrical, mechanical and refrigeration systems.
Skills and Qualifications

  • Technical knowledge of electricity, gas and refrigeration system.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience with tools such as multimeters, gauges, leak detectors and hand tools.
  • EPA Certification (for refrigeration work).
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Time management and ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to work on- call, rotation shifts, and as needed.
