UNC Health is currently seeking a clinically oriented, board-certified or board-eligible Radiation Oncologist to join our cancer care team at UNC Health Caldwell. This full-time position will support radiation oncology services at our locations in Lenoir and Granite Falls, NC. You'll join a collaborative team working closely with colleagues across our center. We offer structured disease-site programs in thoracic, breast, GI, GYN, and GU oncology, along with weekly multidisciplinary tumor boards, robust patient navigation, and access to clinical trials through our partnership with the main UNC campus in Chapel Hill. Our practices feature advanced technology, including SBRT. We welcome candidates interested in clinical trials or operational leadership roles.
Practice Highlights:

• Strong collegial partnerships across specialties
• Elekta Infinity linear accelerator with MOSAIQ OIS
• Active programs in SBRT, electron therapy, photon therapy (3D/IMRT/VMAT)
• Onsite Dosimetrist for treatment planning
• Onsite CT simulator (Siemens Somatom go.Sim)
• Onsite support for patient navigation and disease-site tumor boards

About the Ideal Candidate:

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Radiation Oncology residency program
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Radiation Oncology (ABR)
• Eligible for or ability to obtain North Carolina medical licensure
• Strong clinical skills with experience or interest in treating a broad mix of solid tumor malignancies
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care in a multidisciplinary setting
• Ability to collaborate effectively with medical oncology, surgical oncology, and support services
• Interest in program development, quality improvement, or operational leadership encouraged
• Experience or interest in advanced radiation techniques (e.g., IMRT, stereotactic therapies) preferred
• Participation in tumor boards, care conferences, and clinical pathway development
• Interest in clinical trials or academic collaboration
