Job description

Locum Psychologist need in Unalaska, AK
Client lost FTE and needing a replacement. First time using in Behavioral Health, but have been using our Family Medicine locums.
Top Hourly + Call + Travel Expenses
Selling Points: Unalaska overlooks Iliuliuk Bay and Dutch Harbor on Unalaska Island in the Aleutian Chain. It lies 800 air miles from Anchorage, a two- to three-hour flight, and 1,700 miles northwest of Seattle.
Health Clinic
Start Date: ASAP - Targeting November 18th
End Date: May 30, 2025
LOA: 3-6 month contracts
Credentialing: 2-3 weeks
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8-5 + on call phone for crisis (rotated between another provider)
Patient Volume: 10-15 WEEKLY
Procedures:
Mix between mental health and substance abuse (outpatient program), depressions, anxiety
Comfortable treating all ages for adults teens and children (mostly adults and teens)
Need onsite and able to respond to mental health crisis
Not a busy clinic, but when crisis happens they need someone to respond at all hours, community friendly, very remote clinic, and ready for air travel
EMR: Center
License: AK
Certifications: Board Certified, BLS, DEA
Relevant Experience: highly preferred to have Rural Health/Indian Health experience, or experience working in Rural AK
Additional Info: BH clinic has BH aids, clinicians and a BH office in the PC facility down the road too
