Sommaire

Nous sommes à la recherche d'un(e) assistant(e) de laboratoire motivé(e) pour se joindre à notre équipe de Montréal dans le cadre d'un stage de 4-8 ou 12 mois, à compter de septembre 2026. Ce rôle est essentiel pour soutenir les projets de recherche et développement ainsi que les opérations quotidiennes du laboratoire.

Responsabilités

  • Participer aux projets de recherche et développement ainsi qu'aux activités quotidiennes du laboratoire;
  • Préparer des composites thermoplastiques et thermodurcissables à base de graphène;
  • Effectuer la caractérisation des matériaux : résistance mécanique, conductivité thermique, conductivité électrique, indice de fluidité à chaud (MFI) et analyses microscopiques;
  • Maintenir un espace de laboratoire propre et contribuer à la mise à jour de l'inventaire;
  • Effectuer la saisie de données;
  • Préparer des rapports et participer à l'analyse des données;
  • Assurer le maintien d'une documentation adéquate;
  • Rédiger des procédures opérationnelles normalisées (PON).

Qualifications

  • Étudiant(e) universitaire en génie chimique, génie mécanique ou génie des matériaux.
  • La maîtrise de l'anglais, à l'oral et à l'écrit, est requise puisque le titulaire du poste sera amené à communiquer avec des interlocuteurs à l'extérieur du Québec.

  • Preparing thermoplastic and thermoset composites with graphene
  • Performing material characterization: mechanical strength, thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, melt flow index, microscopy
  • Maintaining clean laboratory space and assisting in updating the inventory
  • Data entry
  • Preparing reports/Data analysis
  • Maintaining proper documentation
  • Writing standard operating procedures

Qualifications

  • University student in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or materials engineering
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is required, as the position holder will be required to communicate with stakeholders outside of Quebec
