Job description

Ultrasound Technician

The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment.

This position is part of the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.

This position reports to the Team Leader, Ultrasound and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

Associate's degree in radiology or equivalent certification required.

Candidates must meet registry requirements and be certified as an RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) within twelve (12) months of hire or the position will be forfeited.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.

One (1) to three (3) years experience as an Ultrasound Technician preferred.
