Job Summary: Workday and UKG Implementation Test Lead
- Lead testing efforts for large-scale HR, payroll, and workforce management system implementations (Workday & UKG).
- Develop and manage comprehensive testing strategies, plans, schedules, and status reports.
- Oversee all phases of testing, including system integration, end-to-end, regression, user acceptance (UAT), and payroll parallel testing.
- Create and maintain test scenarios, scripts, and documentation.
- Coordinate testing activities across business, functional, technical, and vendor teams.
- Validate system configurations, integrations, payroll calculations, and data conversions.
- Manage defect tracking, prioritization, resolution, and retesting using tools like Jira.
- Support and guide business users during test execution and defect documentation.
- Monitor testing progress, quality metrics, risks, and overall readiness for go-live.
- Facilitate test readiness reviews and deployment sign-off.
- Drive continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and best practices.
- Mentor and lead testing teams in complex implementation environments.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of software testing, QA, or HR technology implementation experience.
- Led testing for at least two full Workday and/or UKG implementation lifecycles.
- In-depth knowledge of Workday HCM, Workday Payroll, UKG Pro, or UKG Workforce Management.
- Experience with system integration, UAT, regression, and payroll parallel testing.
- Familiarity with APIs, interfaces, middleware, file-based integrations, and data reconciliation.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with test and defect management tools (e.g., Jira).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with large-scale HR technology transformations.
- Experience with go-live readiness assessments and complex data reconciliations.
- Relevant certifications in Workday, UKG, QA, or software testing.
