Job description

Overview
The Human Resources Coordinator provides critical administrative and operational support to the Human Resources function. This position is responsible for coordinating HR processes and HRIS administration, maintaining employee and AmeriCorps member records, supporting benefits administration and data reconciliation, and ensuring accurate and compliant HR documentation.
Location: The job is 100% remote, however, candidate must reside in one of the states in which Ampact operates: CA, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, KY, MN, MS, NY, WI, VA, MD
Responsibilities
HRIS Administration
  • Serve as a primary administrator for designated UKG HRIS processes and transactions, including new hire onboarding, promotion, compensation, and termination.
  • Prepare and process employment-related documentation, including status changes, change memos, employment verifications, and separation paperwork.
  • Maintain electronic personnel files and HR records with UKG
  • Troubleshoot employee and manager issues related to HRIS functionality and access. Assist with testing and implementation of new functionality.
  • Audit HRIS records regularly to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Reconcile HR, payroll, and benefits data to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Benefits Administration
  • Coordinate administrative processes related to AmeriCorps member benefits programs, including eligibility, enrollment, changes, and terminations.
  • Monitor department email inbox and respond to benefits-related inquires.
  • Conduct monthly benefits reconciliation between payroll, HRIS, benefit carriers, and vendor invoices. Identify discrepancies and coordinate corrections with vendors, payroll, finance, and employees.
  • Maintain electronic library of benefit resources.

HR Support & Compliance
  • Responds to documentation requests for internal and external audits
  • Complete I-9 and E-Verify processes within required timelines.
  • Track and monitor employee compliance requirements including policy acknowledgements, training records, and employee files.
  • Support year-end reporting and compliance activities.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Maintain employee records in systems across organizations.

Qualifications
Minimum Education
  • An associate's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field. Or relevant related experience.

Minimum Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, Benefits Administration, HR Operations, or related administrative support.
  • Experience with an HRIS system - UKG preferred.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and data validation.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across the departments.
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
