Job Summary:
Medline is at the forefront of Agentic Automation innovation, designing and implementing AI-powered automation solutions. The UIPath Engineer Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business processes and develop efficient automation workflows, contributing to the digital transformation of the Business Team.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and deploy automation workflows and reusable components with guidance.
• Build end-to-end automations integrating RPA, APIs, and AI capabilities.
• Contribute to document processing solutions using UiPath Document Understanding and IXP.
• Use UiPath's automation and orchestration components including Maestro, Agent Builder, IXP, Studio, Orchestrator, and Integration Service to independently deliver business solutions that drive business impact.
• Implement human-in-the-loop workflows for approvals and exception handling.
• Design and build AI-driven workflows, agents, and automations aligned with UiPath's architecture and platform standards without requiring regular guidance.
• Apply practical prompt engineering skills to reliably guide agent behavior and understand model tradeoffs (capability, latency, cost) when selecting LLM providers for Business use cases.
• Extend platform functionality using APIs, SDKs, and connectors to address unique business requirements.
• Debug across systems including AI inference, data pipelines, orchestration layers, and integration points, resolving most issues independently.
• Contribute to internal libraries, reusable components, or frameworks that enhance consistency across Business Team’s deployments.
• Anticipate delivery risks and communicate blockers, delays, and scope issues proactively to teammates and stakeholders.
• Use telemetry, insights, and traces to identify optimization opportunities and failure patterns independently.
• Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting of automation solutions.
• Monitor and maintain automations, implementing enhancements as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and support integrations.
• Follow best practices to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Coach and mentor junior team members and help build a strong Automation team.
• Adhere to UiPath policies and development standards.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 7+ years of experience in software development, RPA using UIPath Platform.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or TypeScript (or similar modern languages).
• Experience building and shipping integrations using APIs and working with cloud services or enterprise systems.
• Comfort collaborating with Business teams with strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to independently drive scoped projects, manage risks, and deliver against deadlines.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy automation workflows and reusable components with guidance.
• Build end-to-end automations integrating RPA, APIs, and AI capabilities.
• Contribute to document processing solutions using UiPath Document Understanding and IXP.
