Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Division of Endocrinology in the Department of Medicine is seeking a Student Assistant to support lab operations. This flexible, part-time role will assist with administrative and research support tasks including data entry, filing, drafting correspondence, distributing reports, coordinating vendors, obtaining signatures, and managing mail. Hours are arranged around the student's class schedule, making this an excellent opportunity to gain experience in an academic research environment while maintaining academic commitments.
Hourly range: $17.90-$26.00

Required:
  • Excellent English writing skills in grammar, spelling and punctuation for all correspondence
  • Excellent English verbal communication skills to interact courteously and effectively with Center staff, faculty, patients and their family and volunteers.
  • Interpersonal skills to maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty, staff, administrators and personnel from other departments and outside vendors.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work effectively with absolute attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be a registered UCLA student

As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts an offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of substantiated misconduct with a previous employer.
