Description:
Work in a student-focused retail environment supporting textbook distribution and general merchandise operations for UCLA Law and UCLA Extension. This role combines customer service, sales support, and operational responsibilities across textbooks, school supplies, and branded apparel.
Days/Hours:
Seeking Summer Break availability. Schedule will accommodate class schedules. Hours vary during peak periods (start of term, finals, and events).
Duties:
  • Provide customer service for textbooks, including Law and UCLA Extension course materials.
  • Assist customers with school supplies and UCLA Law / graduate program apparel (BearWear and related merchandise).
  • Recommend products based on customer needs and course requirements.
  • Maintain sales floor organization, including restocking and replenishment of textbooks, supplies, and apparel.
  • Ensure merchandise is properly displayed and inventory is accurately maintained.
  • Process web orders, including picking, packing, and customer pickup coordination.
  • Operate point-of-sale system and handle transactions.
  • Support team operations during high-volume periods and collaborate on daily tasks.
  • Assist in the campus store market area as needed.
  • Perform basic administrative and inventory-related tasks.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of required background checks and screenings.
Requirements:
  • Customer-focused with the ability to engage and assist a diverse student population.
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
