Under broad supervision performs administrative support to senior staff. Interacts with internal senior management and external business partners and resolves issues, which may be sensitive or confidential in nature and of high visibility.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:
Coordinates, handles and resolves business unit problems and customer issues independently and proactively escalating as appropriate. Provides outstanding customer serivce, acting with the appropriate sense of urgency.
Coordinates special projects for senior management, collaborating with others as needed.
Independently composes and distributes correspondence, memos, and other complex documents and reports, which require the use of office technologies and software applications.
Attends meetings, seminars, etc. and records notes or provides information as needed.
Plans, schedules and coordinates meetings, conferences, travel arrangements and maintains the business calendar for the executive.
Assists executive in the coordination of performance reviews, cost center updates and other organizational administration activities.
Processes and submits time entry reports and resolves timekeeping issues with Payroll; may train staff or management on the timekeeping process.
Establishes and maintains official documents and records in appropriate files.
May lead, mentor and train other staff.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
1. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including professional etiquette.
2. Excellent interactive skills with the ability to work independently and proactively.
3. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and other business related software systems.
4. Exceptional organizational skills including ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects.
5. Strong knowledge of the insurance industry and the business unit.
Education and Experience
1. Some college with course work in Marketing, Business, Accounting, etc. desirable.2. Typically a minimum five to eight years strong administrative experience.
In certain jurisdictions, CNA is legally required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. In District of Columbia, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is $47,000 to $78,000 annually. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
