UCI Transportation and Distribution Services oversees all transportation planning, parking, and mail services at the University of California, Irvine. UCI Transportation has an environmental commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from all vehicles traveling on and around the UCI campus. This commitment to reduce costs and emissions is at the heart of every program and service offered to the UCI campus community.
Seeking a seasoned and experienced administrative operation professional to manage, plan and administer the operations of Transportation and Distribution Services. Reporting to a director, or a higher-level administrative operation \ manager. Perform short- and long-term planning for the organization. Will supervise staff and students. Position requires for incumbent to be on site.Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Your Role on the Team
  • Thorough knowledge of University rules and regulations, processes, protocols and procedures for budget, accounting and personnel management. Preferred
  • Familiarity with the UCI campus and campus parking structures and lots. Preferred
  • Knowledge of a variety of administrative operational activities such as strategic planning for special projects and community outreach, inventory management, accounting, and payroll. Preferred
  • Solid knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs. Preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques, and / or human resources policies and procedures for staff and academic employees. Preferred
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. Required
  • Strong skills in short-term planning, project management, analysis, problem-solving, and customer service. Required
  • Proficient in all software applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Access) and database applications. Required
  • Interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising and counseling skills. Required

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $73,900.00- $103,800.00 (Annual).
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience Supervisory experience and managing of administrative operations of an office
