Location: UCHealth UCHlth Leprino Building AMC, US:CO:Aurora
Department: UCHA Lab Microbiology
Work Schedule: Part Time, 20.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Evenings
  • Part time
  • 1-12 weeks of Full-Time Training between the hours of 0500-2100
  • Regular Schedule Monday -Thursday 1600-2130
  • Including some Weekends and Holidays

Pay: $24.11 - $36.17 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option
Summary:
Performs laboratory sample processing for the AFB/Mycology Laboratory including culture set-up running instrument for organism identification and slide reading.
Responsibilities:
  • Performs diagnostic/analytic testing of specimens. Interprets, documents and reports test results.
  • Performs quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Complies with good laboratory practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Performs projects as assigned as well as serves as a resource to laboratory staff and other clinical staff as needed.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or medical laboratory science or medical technology.
