Front Desk Coordinator - UBMD Neurology
Full-Time | Onsite

Work Location: In person
Position Summary
UBMD Neurology is seeking a professional and patient-focused Front Desk Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of a busy neurology practice. This role serves as the primary point of contact for patients and represents providers through clear communication, efficient coordination, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, courteous, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Patient Support
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, both in person and over the phone
  • Answer and route high-volume phone calls to appropriate staff or departments
  • Establish and maintain a professional, respectful rapport with patients, providers, and staff
  • Work closely with clinical teams to address patient questions and support continuity of care

Scheduling & Registration
  • Schedule patient appointments and prepare charts for upcoming visits
  • Build patient charts and gather required medical records
  • Check patients in and out efficiently and accurately
  • Provide patients with required paperwork and visit-related information
  • Prepare and mail new patient packets as needed

Billing & Administrative Support
  • Collect copays and outstanding balances at time of service
  • Obtain prior authorizations for diagnostic testing when required
  • Manage faxing, scanning, mail, and task queues
  • Maintain organized and accurate patient records

Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the waiting room and front desk areas
  • Provide cross-coverage within the department as needed
  • Assist with special projects assigned by management or providers

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience required
  • Medical office or healthcare experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask in a high-volume clinical environment
  • Attention to detail and commitment to excellent patient service
