They are faculty members at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo and provide patient care, teaching, and medical research. UBMD offers comprehensive healthcare services across a wide range of specialties, including primary care, cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, and more. Their physicians are also actively involved in medical research and the training of future healthcare professionals.

Clinicians at UBMD often work in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments where balancing patient care, teaching, and research responsibilities can be demanding. New team members may initially find the diverse workload and collaboration with various departments challenging. However, UBMD fosters a supportive atmosphere with mentorship opportunities, regular interdisciplinary meetings, and access to professional development resources, which help new clinicians acclimate and succeed. Building strong communication skills and proactively seeking guidance from experienced colleagues can further ease the transition and set the stage for career growth.
