Location: UBMD Primary Care – Tonawanda & Williamsville Outpatient Clinics (Floating)

Schedule: Part-Time (3 days/week; final schedule determined by supervisor)

Pay Range: $62,400–$71,300/year

Status: Part-Time, Exempt • AA/EOE

About the Role:

UBMD Primary Care is seeking a skilled and patient‑focused Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide primary care services at our Tonawanda and Williamsville clinics. This role is ideal for an APP who thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced outpatient environment and is committed to delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

The APP will work under physician supervision and play a key role in health promotion, disease prevention, patient education, and care coordination.

What You’ll Do:

You’ll use your clinical expertise, diagnostic skills, and patient‑care abilities to support our providers and ensure excellent care delivery. Responsibilities include:

Clinical Care & Diagnostics

  • Conduct patient exams and obtain medical histories
  • Interpret diagnostic test results and identify deviations from normal
  • Formulate diagnoses and develop treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications or therapies with physician approval
  • Order or perform diagnostic tests (x‑rays, EKGs, labs)
  • Perform therapeutic procedures (injections, immunizations, wound care, suturing)

Patient Education & Care Coordination

  • Counsel patients on treatment plans, preventive care, and health maintenance
  • Assist physicians during complex procedures
  • Coordinate follow‑up care, referrals, diagnostic testing, and prescription requests
  • Provide educational materials and community resource information

Clinical Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate EMR documentation
  • Follow PCMH standards and support team‑based care
  • Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and quality assurance policies
  • Participate in clinic meetings and ongoing training
  • Maintain excellent attendance and professional conduct

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
  • Current NYS NP or PA license
  • 2 years of healthcare experience, preferably in outpatient or primary care (preferred)
  • EMR experience strongly preferred
  • Strong clinical knowledge and patient‑care skills

Work Environment

  • Fast‑paced, well‑lit outpatient clinic
  • Frequent standing, walking, and patient interaction
  • Light lifting up to 15 lbs
  • May travel to other UBMD Primary Care locations as needed
  • Exposure to typical clinical hazards (infectious diseases, sharps, etc.)
