Job Summary:
Bestgate Engineering is looking for software engineers to join their Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) engineering group. The role involves designing high-visibility solutions for ground control software and on-board communications systems for drone platforms.
Responsibilities:
• help design, develop and deploy solutions
• working on small, distributed Agile development teams
Qualifications:
Required:
• B.S. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar preferred
• Expert knowledge of Modern C++
• Fluency in object-oriented programming and design, development, and testing
• Experience in software architectural-level design and API development
• Knowledge of software design patterns; use of appropriate algorithms and data structures
• Experience developing multi-threaded software
• Understanding of constraints of real-time / embedded platforms
• Experience designing and implementing message processing software (data-link or control command interfaces, e.g. STANAG-4586)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum SDLC, preferably in distributed teams
• Exposure to sensor integration (EO, IR, and various laser payloads)
• Exposure to avionics or UAS/UAV platforms
• Fast, motivated learner!
• Excited to learn new technologies and offer creative and elegant solutions
Preferred:
• M.S. a plus
• Experience in C#, WPF, and MVVM a huge plus
