The company combines the patented technology of metamaterials with powerful software to create a radar sensor with unprecedented performance at commercial price points. Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM).
Echodyne is seeking a Manufacturing Test Development Manager to manage a group of test engineers and technicians and lead the design and development of new manufacturing test solutions that will ensure all radars produced meet the required quality standards and design specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage a staff of test engineers and technicians to support the development of production test systems
  • Work closely with design, systems and software engineering teams to define sub-system and system level test coverage that will ensure product quality and production efficiency
  • Design, develop and release new manufacturing test processes and test systems including software, hardware modules and data infrastructure
  • Work closely with third-party test integration companies developing test solutions
  • Generate DFT guidelines to inform and influence new radar designs
  • Work with design and supplier quality engineering to enable an effective supply chain with special emphasis on RF and high speed digital PCBAs. Manage the design and execution of PCBA and other sub-assembly testing at supplier locations and internally
  • Proactively initiate and lead corrective action and continuous improvement projects associated with the manufacturing test processes
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
  • Knowledgeable in PCBA and PCB fabrication processes for RF/High speed digital boards, including tolerances, use of micro-vias, and DFM appropriate design methodologies
  • Experience working with and managing contract manufacturers in the testing of PCBA/electronic assemblies. Expertise with design and fabrication of custom test systems and fixtures
  • Proficiency/Experience with statistical data analysis techniques to characterize test processes and drive improvement projects
  • Ability to learn and adapt to advanced RF microwave technology. Experience with Radar and RF microwave measurement instruments preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to bring the proper resources to solve priority technical issues in a timely manner
  • Knowledge of computer interface protocols
  • Strong oral and written communication/presentations skills
  • Build collaborative relationships both internally and externally
DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with SolidWorks, Altium and/or other industry CAD tools
  • Previous radar testing methods and technologies
  • Knowledgeable in PCBA and PCB fabrication processes for RF/High speed digital boards, including tolerances, use of micro-vias, and DFM appropriate design methodologies
  • Experience working with and managing contract manufacturers in the testing of PCBA/electronic assemblies
  • Manufacturing Six Sigma Green Belt
QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS or MS in electrical, electronic, or related technical discipline
  • 5 or more years of experience in leading test engineering teams in electronics manufacturing environments
  • 5 or more years of expertise in designing and fabricating custom test systems

$124,733-$187,048 USD
