Job description

The rapidly expanding Cardiology Division at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock, AR is actively recruiting a fellowship trained Interventional Cardiologist. The Interventional Cardiology program at UAMS includes a high-risk CHIP and an expanding ECMO program. The applicant is expected to demonstrate expertise in complex coronary interventional procedures and ECMO cannulation. The candidate will be expected to contribute to the clinical, educational, research, and administrative functions of the Cardiology Division.

Join a growing program with 16 faculty, 12 general fellows, 3 interventional fellows, and 2 electrophysiology fellows. Individuals with all levels of experience and seniority will be considered on a competitive basis. Compensation and benefits are highly competitive.

Position Details

  • New graduates welcome to apply
  • Clinical responsibilities include interventional cardiology clinic, inpatient cardiology and CVICU consultations, 2 days in the cardiac catheterization laboratory and participation in STEMI call (1:4).
  • State of the art catheterization labs
  • Highly supportive and collegial environment within cardiology, as well as surgical specialties (Cardiothoracic, Interventional Radiology and Vascular surgery)
  • Participate in the mechanical circulatory support program (including ECMO)
  • Active participation in general and interventional fellows’ education
  • Opportunities for leadership positions based on experience and interest
  • Relocation allowance provided
  • Annual CME funding provided by the division. Engagement in inter and intra departmental research is encouraged
