Job description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

· Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering systems, and electrical components

· Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and tune-ups

· Use diagnostic tools, software, and manuals to identify mechanical and electrical issues

· Test vehicles and equipment to ensure repairs meet performance and safety standards

· Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities

· Follow all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company policies

· Communicate repair needs and timelines clearly with supervisors and team members

· Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and in good working condition

· Stay current with industry developments, technology, and manufacturer updates

· Ability to work in physically demanding conditions including uneven terrain and confined spaces.

· Bending, Moving, Stretching, Standing for long periods of time.

Work Environment

· Critical to maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient operation of equipment used in construction, earthmoving, mining, and industrial applications.

· Exposure to noise, dust, grease, heavy machinery, and varying weather conditions.

· Some Outdoor work at the shop may be required.

· We require a steel-toed boot and eye wear for safety.

Pay Scale: $25.00-$40.00 an hour DOE

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
