Shipping Forklift Operator/Inventory

Tasks:

The position is responsible for manifesting, loading trailers, doing inventory and lot checks for all warehouse location in both plants. The position is also responsible for Material Handling and Receiving. This job is fast-paced and requires repetitive motion, constant standing, walking, and riding of powered material handling equipment (forklifts, stand-up lifts). Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Willingness to work in a cold and wet environment. Willingness to lift as needed up to 40 pounds. Must be able to train for and pass forklift license training. Must have good hand and eye coordination. Willingness to stand throughout 8-10-hour shifts. Must be able to work overtime and weekends, since this facility may run up to 6 days a week, Monday-Saturday. Must be willing to accept and carry through on request and directions given. Must also be able to pass an MVR (Motor vehicle report). Willingness to walk/stand for the duration of the shift. Willing to read bills of lading, write and communicate with supervisor via e-mail. Willingness to perform basic math to assure proper cases per load are being shipped and make work related computations pertaining to shipping orders. Bending, twisting, turning, and good hand/eye coordination is required. Willingness to read, follow and understand the loading procedures. Use of EIM (Enterprise Inventory Management) device to scan all packaging and ingredients that leave the warehouse or are removed from trailers.

Requirement: 6 month Forklift experience listed on the application (can be combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months)

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Rehire Consideration:

  • Max of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire.

  • 180 days (6 months) waiting period.
