Compensation: $15.00 / hour

Position: Lot Attendant
Location: McGhee Tyson Airport (2055 Airport Hwy)
Pay: $15/hour
Schedule: Shifts will vary and may include weekends.

The Airport Parking Attendant is responsible for supporting daily parking operations, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate parking facility performance. This role focuses on assisting customers, maintaining site organization, and following established procedures to support smooth operations
Key Responsibilities
  • Greet arriving and departing guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner to ensure a positive parking experience.
  • Assist customers with parking payment, equipment use, entry and exit procedures, and general parking inquiries.
  • Help guests with mobile-app or QR-based parking access when applicable.
  • Interact face-to-face with customers to resolve routine questions, concerns, or issues; escalate more complex matters to a supervisor or manager.
  • Direct incoming vehicles to available parking spaces and help maintain smooth traffic flow within the parking facility.
  • Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed and assist guests who may have forgotten where they parked.
  • Conduct routine patrols of the facility and report violations of posted policies to management.
  • Process parking fees using POS systems and validations; accurately document tickets, passes, and transactions.
  • Collect and handle payments responsibly when required.
  • Prepare basic shift reports and maintain accurate operational records.
  • Keep the parking facility clean, organized, and free of hazards or obstacles.
  • Perform general upkeep such as litter removal and seasonal tasks (e.g., snow removal or salting) as required.
  • Properly use and care for parking equipment, tools, and devices.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, incidents, or unusual activity to management immediately.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with guests, clients, and team members at all times.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Basic problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and report hazards
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to verbally communicate with guests
  • Previous customer service experience, preferred
  • Ability to safely drive and maneuver a service vehicle in tight parking areas
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle battery jump-start procedures (training provided)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills

REQUIREMENTS:
  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver License with good Driving Record
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
  • Must successfully pass a background check, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to provide documentation verifying eligibility, as required by the Department of Homeland Security. Reimagined Parking participates in the E‑Verify program to confirm employment eligibility.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Constantly move around the property by walking for extended periods of time, sometimes for entire duration of shift
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to perform light physical tasks such as moving cones or picking up debris
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements such as handling tickets or operating gates
  • Stand for extended periods of time, sometimes for entire duration of shift

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Work is performed outdoors for extended periods of time including up to the entire duration of shift.
  • Employees are subject to environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold weather. Protection from weather conditions may be provided, but not necessarily from temperature changes
