We are seeking a Digital Designer / Graphic Artist to join our team at our headquarters in Michigan City, Indiana
Position Overview
The Digital Designer / Graphic Artist is a key contributor to Vanair's Marketing team, responsible for executing visually compelling, high-performing creative across digital and print channels. This role supports campaign execution, strengthens brand presence, and contributes to measurable marketing outcomes across web, email, social media, and eCommerce platforms.
The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings both creative execution and performance-focused thinking.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Design and produce assets including sell sheets, brochures, web graphics, email campaigns, social media visuals, banner ads, and digital advertisements
  • Create and edit visual content using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Develop responsive, mobile-first graphics optimized for performance
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align creative with marketing goals and campaign strategy
  • Translate design concepts into web-ready formats using HTML and basic CSS (email templates, landing pages, UI elements)
  • Prepare and optimize imagery for product listings, digital catalogs, and campaigns
  • Maintain and organize digital asset libraries for consistency and efficiency
  • Ensure all creative aligns with brand guidelines and evolving digital design standards
  • Support A/B testing by developing variations of creative assets
  • Assist with light motion graphics, animated banners, and short-form video when needed
  • Ensure all digital content meets accessibility and platform-specific best practices

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) required, Graphic Design, Digital Design, Marketing, or related field preferred; OR 5+ years of equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in digital design, marketing, or web-related roles
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; After Effects or Premiere a plus)
  • Working knowledge of HTML and basic CSS
  • Experience designing for digital channels (web, email, social, eCommerce)
  • Strong understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy
  • Familiarity with responsive and mobile-first design principles
  • Experience optimizing assets for web performance (file formats, compression, retina assets)
  • High attention to detail with strong time management skills
  • Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate them into effective visual solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
